A little cutie I found under a rose bush in the garden when I was taking photos. I thought I'd better put him back in the pond. The heavy and frequent rains (If you're in the UK, you'll know what I mean!) have driven these little guys out, plus we get a couple of hundred in the pond each year- no kidding- so they can't all stay in there, I guess.

I'd love to get a photo of the phenomena that occurs when a storm is about to start- but due to bad lighting conditions its not so easy. We all know animals have that 6th sense, and the frogs in our pond all leave it when a storm is about to start. You can see about 50-100 of the things hopping all over the garden from the pond. Crazy creatures!

it is! i love them- but they're everywhere in our garden in summer! I'll be getting a better shot of one this year with my new macro lens
