It's been so long since I submitted some jewellery. I've been so busy lately, and all the jewellery I've been making over the past few months has been stacking up waiting for photos. I've got a little more space and time on my hands, so I've tried to drastically improve my product photography with better lighting and settings. I hope I'm achieving that at least. Notice my friendly household rocks are helping the scene somewhat. This piece has waited a long time to be photographed! It is a necklace made with a natural peacock feather. It has been wrapped in silver-plated wire, and includes a set of Swarovski bicone crystals in matching colours to compliment the feather. The wire is designed to weigh the necklace down slightly so it lies better. I find peacock feathers are almost too light to wear.
Truely beautiful work hun. The stone actually works great with this necklace in the shot. It is a sort of nuteral that actually compliments the feather and the stone work. And it angles it nicely for the camera.
Thank you so much! And thanks for the feedback on the photography as well! I was at a loss for how to take some new ones, so I grabbed some of my rock collection to see how it would look. Very glad with the results- and very happy you like it too
Never before has an ordinary stone looked so awesome. Good job!
Or it could be some sort of peacock-phoenix hybrid. Do they spawn from stones with peacock feathers attached to them? That would make for an awesome peacock-phoenix farm. Growing phoenixes in a garden, hmmm...
