Banks are all bastards- did you know?
After all the hilarity and shit a few months back when I tried to get a credit card, the Halifax bank (a BANK- not a place name) has now just gone one step further to piss be off.
Instead of a credit card, I started an account with them purely for use on the internet to buy stuff so there was less risk of my money being nabbed for whatever reason. For this, I specified an account that could not be used if it had no money in it.
A few days ago, I got a letter from the bank telling me I'd gone overdrawn on the account and that they were going to charge me £35 for the privilege plus £28 for unauthorised overdraft of the account. A grand total of £63.
And yes- naughty me for going overdrawn on the account.
BUT...
When I opened the account, I specifically requested that there be no way for the account to go overdrawn... EVER.
I asked when I set it up that if there was no money in the account, that any transactions attempted would NOT go through, and I was reassured of this by the staff member that set it up for me.
And now I'm being charged for going overdrawn on an account that I didn't want an overdrawn function and am being billed for the privilege of not wanting that overdraft function.
"We will also be charging you £28 for unauthorised use of the overdraft facility on your account"
YEAH! IT'S UNAUTHORISED COS I DIDN'T F*CKING ASK FOR IT, YOU BUNCH OF INCOMPETENT IDIOTS.
They've lied to me about my account, charged me the earth and also charged the earth again because I didn't want the facility that they've so eagerly thrust in my face. I needn't tell you that I'm gonna be sending them a letter about this, as well as closing the account. If I'd have known about this, I wouldn't have opened the account in the first place.

You heard what?
It seems someone that got banned and decided to tell a porky to the dA masses by telling everyone that they were banned for posting a youtube video on dA. THIS IS NOT TRUE. You will not get banned from dA if you post a youtube video UNLESS it is a youtube video containing pornography or anything else that is against policy. However you WILL have administrative action taken if you post up links to video sites showing videos of say, full length anime series- which will constitute as a copyright violation.

More art?
I'm so sorry for the lack of pictures, but I'm hoping to get one horror pic done this week. I've been so busy, and being at work is a bitch for time, as well as being unable to get home before it has gone dark, so it's hard to get photos done without natural light.
I've been doing something else with my time as well, which is making some jewellery. I'll try and get some photos of them this week too, since I've still not got around to that either. I promise I'll make time to get photos this week! (especially since one of them has a deadline!)

I found a profile on friendster.com with a stack of dA rips on it- check them out here. I've send out messages for a lot of them, but there are a few with dA names cut in two (most of the images have_by_deviantname.jpg from when they were downloaded from dA) so I can't find the original artist. Do any of them belong to you? Please take a look. If you do find anything, i suggest you try emailing them at the help email address on this list, otherwise you will need to become a member to report the image.

Driving
I've got my theory test booked fort eh end of February, and it seems I'm well on track to be able to book my practical test soon too!
Few of you will know what this really means to me. Getting my driving license will mean:
I will be able to move out of my parents house and move in with my boyfriend after 2 years of not living with him
I will be able to have my very own car and not have to get the train everywhere
I will be able to commute to work in a car and not on a train full of weirdos and chavs, subject to ridiculous delays and rail replacement bus services
I will be able to drive to some awesome places for photography
I will have more time for photography, due to my weekends being relatively free, since it won't be a mad rush to see Geoff for 2 days a week- we'll be able to watch TV in the week together!!
I will be able to use a room for a makeshift studio more easily, without just being restricted to one tiny room
