Description
It's been a while, but I decided I should at least add one picture I took during a trip to Munich in Germany last year.
This was my favourite shot from the photographs I took and shows a long exposure of the Eisbach river running through the Englischer Garten.
The Eisbach is a man-made river and flows through the Englisch Garten- named after the style of landscaping that was popular in Britain during the 18th and 19th centuries.
This photo is looking upstream towards the standing wave- a wave about a metre high which appears to be a magnet to surfers. When looking up river, I thought I was seeing dogs in the water, but they were actually people surfing. It must have been bitterly cold- it was sleeting and raining that day.
8 second exposure.
