Information for jewellery commissionsI am now taking commissions for glass vial and other pendants in my style. I have a wide range of jewellery designs already done, and commissions are open fro people to tailor make their own vial and its contents, or have a custom heart pendant.
Please note that all things listed here are subject to availability. All vials, beads and vial fillings may not be available at all times, so it is best to ask if them items you want are available. Some items (particularly fimo items) will need to be made and baked before they can be used in your jewellery
Commissions already completed
Glass vial pendants
I make a wide range of glass vial pendants that can be attached to a chain, and have assorted things inside suspended in glycerine. This means herbs can also be preserved in them. Vials can also be dry inside, but of course herbs cannot be preserved then.
Vials: What shapes do they come in?
Vials are as quite small when made up, and individual sizes can be seen here, but they vary slightly in width. I currently use several glass vials (Please check for availability):
- Round light bulb shaped glass vials (2.5cm high)
- Thin test-tube shaped glass vials (3cm)
- Wide tear-drop shaped glass vials (2.5cm high)
- Large jar vials (3.5cm high)
- Medium jar vials (3cm high)
- Small jar vials (2.5cm high)
Vials: What things can the vials be filled with? Feathers: I have a range of ostrich feathers which are ideal for these small vials. I have a range of colours, and other colours can be easily obtained, so just ask about availability
Rocks: I have a number of rocks and minerals that can go inside the vials:
- Quartz, Amethyst, Rose quartz
- Garnet
- Australian opal, opalite
- Carnelian
- Snowflake obsidian
- Blue lace agate
- Onyx
- Aventurine
- Labradorite
- Tiger eye
- Lapis Lazuli
- Haematite
- Various jaspers
Other rocks can often be gotten hold of, so ask if you have something particular in mind to go into a vial. I am a geologist after all!
Pearls: Small freshwater pearls can be bought for vials provided that they are the right size for the vial you are ordering for! They will come in a variety of colours. Please ask if you'd like pearls, as they will need to be ordered for colour, shape and size.
Flowers: I have a few tiny red dried flowers that can be added to vials. These are ideal for valentines, as they have a bright colour and are so detailed
Fake blood: As I am primarily a macabre artist on deviantART, I could not make all this jewellery without leaving my dark mark on a few of them.
Fake blood is available in vials if it is wanted. If red is not your colour, other colours are available.
Watch parts: I have a number of tiny watch parts from vintage watches:
- cogs
- gears
- hands
- screws
- winders
- Balance staffs
- Pallets
- Anything small enough to fit in a vial!
Tiny pills: I have some tiny sugar pills idea for making 'pill bottle' vials.
Microbeads: I have an assortment of microbeads in varying colours, they can be added inside the vial with other things. Please let me know if you would like a particular colour and I will let you know whether it is available.
Glitter: I have varying colours of fine glitter ideal for adding a glittery snow-globe effect inside the vials
Swarovski crystals: Varying colours of swarovski crystals are available to buy online. There is a full colour-chart available for viewing, and provided the beads are appropriately sized for the vial, they can be used inside. I already have a selection of colours, but all of the Swarovski colour range is obtainable.
Metal charms: There are some very small metal charms available, and sometimes these are small enough to fit into vials. I only have a couple of designs using these tiny charms, but there are many available to buy online if I do not have any currently in stock.
Charms on vial necklaces Charms, similar to those found on the foiled-glass hearts, can be added to the jump ring on a vial. This means any of the charm ideas outlined for the foiled-glass hearts can be added to a vial with relative ease.
Requesting things to be put into vialsIf there is something you want put inside a vial, but you can't see it here, please let me know.
Other things that will probably fit into the vials include:
- Gold flakes
- Small faceted crystal/glass beads
- Small dolls house accessories (food items make the best fit)
- Small shells
- Ash
- Sand
- Soil
- 'Message in a bottle'
- Coloured seed beads
These items and probably others can be gotten hold of- let me know if you are looking for something in particular, and I will see if I can get hold of it for you.
The opening to the vial is approximately 3-4mm wide, so anything that is less than that size can fit in.
What If I have something of my own I'd like to put in a vial?If you have something to be put into a vial, you can either arrange to send the item to me to be put into a vial, or you can buy a mini DIY kit for the vial of your choice with instructions and all you need to make the vial yourself. All you need to do is supply the glue and the contents
Steampunk jewellery
I do a number of 'steampunk' style items, but unfortunately many of them are one of a kind items, as specific some watch parts are hard to get hold of. If you've seen something you like in my gallery and would like something similar, I will need to check what I already have in my collection or order in new items if I do not have them currently available. Some of my steampunk items also use vials.
Steampunk designs can be entirely based on your own, but it is very hit and miss as to what I will have in at the time. If you would like me to order parts, feel free to direct me to any specific UK shops or ebay items.
Sketches are often the best way to get your ideas across, so if you can sketch your design, it will be easier and less open to differing interpretations
Wrapped Feather jewellery
I create jewellery from feathers and wire. These items can be in pendant or earring form, and can incorporate beads
Polymer Clay and Dolls house miniature Jewellery
I have a number of items of jewellery that I can make from polymer clay (fimo) or tiny dolls house items that can be added to hooks and used as necklaces.
I have a wide range of colours for polymer clay, but I am still learning some effects. Currently available are:
- cake designs
- cheesecake designs
- baguette designs
- ice cream sundaes
- black and orange goldfish in bowls
- sushi
- candy

Glass Heart pendants
I make a range of foiled-glass heart necklaces in a few different colours. The hearts are quite heavy, so work better in pendant form. These usually have a small charm on the bottom of the heart to dangle.
Glass hearts: What can be added as a charm? I have a wide range of beads that can be used in charms including:
- Haematite star beads
- Assorted Swarovski crystals
- Haematite small cylinder beads
- Ostrich feathers (Black, Maroon, Blue, White)
- Swarovski rainbow beads
- Rocks (garnet, labradorite, amethyst)
- Assorted seed beads
- Clear rainbow crystal beads
- Claret red glass beads
Earrings
I make a few earrings as well as necklaces. They can be made up with most of the beads seen above, including glass vials. If you would rather have a design made into a pair of earrings, let me know.
BraceletsI make charm bracelets, occasionally. Due to the many charms these incorporate, they can be comparatively expensive, but will depend on the charms used in them. Your bracelet can be made to fit a theme, or can have space for you to add your own charms to it.
Other Jewellery and accessories
I have a range of geeky components from computers. these can be used in all typesof jewellery, but are subjetc to availability for customised jewellery and accessories.
All transactions will take place over ebay or etsy, as it is a secure way of doing it for both parties.
Links will be given when commissioned necklaces are ready to buy (and will be added with a 'Buy It Now'.)
Items will be tailored to your specifications, photos taken, and then sent to you. If you are happy with how the design looks, it will then be arranged to be put on ebay.
I will only list the item when you are completely happy with the design.
A scheduled start to the listing can be added if necessary.
All prices for commissioned pieces will be quoted before a listing is added.
Final prices and all details on the commission will be sent with photos before the listing is added.

If you do not have an ebay or etsy account and do not want to set one up, let me know so that other arrangements can be made. Etsy or ebay is preferred as it is a secure system for both buyers and sellers, but paypal can be used. If you are local (i.e. in the UK), postal orders and cheques are accepted, but commission pieces will not be sent out until payment has cleared.
If you do not reply to emails or messages relating to your commission, and I hear nothing from you regarding the commission, I reserve the right to sell or dismantle the piece created after 2 months of no communications. If you expect to be away for any length of time while your commission is being created, do let me know so that your piece will be kept to one side. This is to avoid pieces being kept indefinitely and further time and money being wasted on commissions that are not claimed. I've had problems in the past of working for a number of hours on pieces, just for my communications to be ignored and the commission left unclaimed.
